OSX App for 10-Second Stream Buffer
Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD
I'm looking for an OSX app that can create a 10-second audio-video buffer streamed from another computer on the same LAN via some sort of streaming protocol (source is Streamyard). THe app woudl run on its own Mac Mini, and would stream the output post-delay to restream.io for restreaming to Facebook and YouTube etc.
Key is that the buffer can be "dumped" via a button etc so that profanity or bad language that makes it into the buffer can be dumped and not make it to the restream.io stream. So essentially the previous 10 seconds of the stream would be "dumped" (or 7 or 8 seconds, depending on setting) when the button is hit, and then the stream would resume live. The stream woudln't actually be stopped, just have a chunk taken out of it.
The button would dump the buffer so the stream would have what would probably look like a jump-cut in it. Key is that the stream would keep on streaming, and the restreaming service would not see an interruption and therefore think it's the end of the stream. I anticipate sending the stream to the app via RTMP since that's the output of most streaming platforms. So would have to work out how the stream-delay computer is seen on my local network.
The ideal candidate for this project would have experience in developing OSX applications, knowledge of audio-video mixing, and understanding of live streaming protocols. If this was better done as a WIndows App I could live with that, but woudl prefer OSX as the rest of the computers we use are Macs.
