Software Engineer - Cross-Platform C++ Development (Windows/Linux)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to develop cross-platform applications for Windows with future Linux (headless) portability. The candidate should be proficient in cross-platform GUI frameworks and understand HTTP-based communication interfaces.
Key Requirements:
Strong proficiency in C++ programming with cross-platform development experience
Expertise in cross-platform GUI frameworks:
Primary: Qt framework for Windows/Linux development
Secondary: Experience with LVGL-based frameworks (our company's custom Qt-like wrapper framework is in development)
Alternative: Familiarity with other suitable cross-platform GUI frameworks supporting headless environments
Experience with headless/embedded Linux environments (no desktop environment)
Understanding of HTTP communication protocols and RESTful APIs
Knowledge of client-server architecture and basic frontend-backend logic (development experience not required, but conceptual understanding is essential)
Familiarity with modern C++ standards (C++11/14/17/20)
Experience with version control systems (Git preferred)
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Technical Environment:
Primary development platform: Windows
Target deployment: Linux (headless/embedded systems)
Communication interface: HTTP-based APIs
GUI framework priority: Qt (recommended), followed by our custom LVGL-based wrapper framework
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with embedded systems development
Knowledge of display drivers and hardware acceleration in headless environments
Understanding of network programming and socket communication
Experience with cross-compilation toolchains
Familiarity with continuous integration/deployment pipelines
