Help with Eclipse project configure/build/compile of OpenGL ES
Environment:
- Toradex Colibri iMX6 (ARM Cortex) SoM board setup with LCD display
- TDX Wayland with XWayland 5.7.0+build.20 (dunfell) Linux distribution
- Eclipse IDE (available on Win10 PC and on Ubuntu 16.04)
- GCC Linaro cross compilation toolchain (available on Win10 PC and on Ubuntu 16.04)
- Root_fs for target SoM
Development environment installed and configured. Basic ‘hello world’ written in C successfully compiles under Eclipse on Win10 and on Ubuntu 16.04. Compiled code successfully runs on target SoM iMX6 board.
Task description:
It is required to compile under Eclipse environment the sample C code that can runs basic (hello world type) OpenGL ES1.1 and ES2.0 examples on target SoM. The code samples written in C and sample code provided (NXP gpu_sdk_v1.00)
Problem, which needs to fix:
Currently the main problem with compilation of the sample projects relates to .so libraries whose dependencies must properly address in Eclipse for successful compilation. At present, the sample code for both OpenGL ES1.1 and 2.0 struggles to compile correctly as some .so libraries miss its dependencies thus causing many errors in output. It may that more libraries will have to be added to successfully compile this project.
‘Project complete’ expectation:
Eclipse sample project, which successfully compiles and then runs under described above Environment on the target SoM expected to be provided.
Expected to have one project (#ifdef defined) or two separate projects for both OpenGL ES1.1 and ES2.0 examples with all required libraries properly added under Eclipse project. Code should successfully compile. Target binary should run correctly and successfully on target SoM.
Possible ways of conducting this project:
Option1: Remote access to development machine with pre-installed environment described above as well as remote access to target SoM machine for test run of the code
Option2: Project done on programmer’s machine. RootFS and sample project (OpenGL) provided. Tests conducted on target SoM remotely.
