From buttons to remote controller

Hi Freelancers !
This personnal project is about a LED snowboard.
I'm looking for someone able to update my current INO program.
The task consist by integrating an IR remote controller code to the current working INO to prevent waterproof issue.
Project is currently running with 5 physical 1/0 buttons, one is for 5V and 4 buttons for each behavior.
About those current 4, it's currently initializing the pushbutton pin as an input to launch the related behaviors.
Also on the on production PCB, I already manage to add the IR sensor on board.
I'd like to use the input from the IR receiver to set wich behavior to launch on my buttons cases
