FPP Plugin for sACN & Artnet Recording
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
Project Overview
We are looking for a developer to create a plugin for the Falcon Player (FPP) application that allows onboard recording of incoming sACN or Artnet traffic. The plugin should have the capacity to limit which DMX universes it listens to and generate a .fseq file for playback.
Technical Specifications
Supported Protocols: sACN and Art-Net
Targeted FPP Versions: 7.5 and 8.0
Recording Capacity: Minimum to 128 DMX universes
Recording Format: FSEQ
Recording Rate: 44hz (DMX refresh rate)
Functionality
Start/Stop Recording:
Manual control via the web interface
Automatic start/stop based on the value of a specific DMX channel (e.g., recording starts when channel 512 of universe 254 is above 50% and stops when it dips below)
Web Interface:
Simple and intuitive web interface for recording control
Ability to enable and disable inputs in Falcon Player
Data Storage:
Recordings should be stored locally on the FPP device in FSEQ format
Performance and Reliability
The recorder must reliably capture DMX data at a refresh rate of 44hz across up to 128 universes
Timeline and Budget
Timeline: To be determined
Budget: To be determined
Additional Information
Please include any previous experience you have with sACN, Art-Net, FPP, or similar projects in your application.
