Basic description:
A straight part should be bent on our bending machines. To do so we create programs by hand. The part (Aluminium Extrusion) is pulled to a specific force/elongation by two grippers on each end and then formed around a negative form of the desired shape. 3D shaping including rotation. It can be assumed that the part is straight between each side of the grippers and the tool template (negative of final parts shape). Tangential extension of the surface on the specific position is a condition.
We would like to have a program considering the geometry of the machine (adjustable Rotation points and linear movements specific for each machine in 2D and 3D) and create a position controlled programm according to a) 3D CAD model or b) manual position programming.
The CAD Model of the bending tool (negative of final shape) would be loaded as STEP file and the surface should be chosen by the operator to define the part of the tool which is necessary for the simulation. This would define the bend shape
The part will be stretched and elongated. It is tangentially following a fixed tool template (imported as STEP).
The values must be possible to influence at each point depending on elongation. (e.g. split the tool into 10 or 20 sections and define an overlay of elongation)

The output of the software should be:
- Coordinates formated for use in CNC software (Text file)
- biggest elongation on specific area (Bend part width will be given as numerical value or optional as CAD File) Elongation on bend curvature is checked and displayed.
- Simulation of the forming process
- on any position of a given Axis extra functions (M-Functions of the machine) can be added and will be included in the bending program.
