Chat application

I need help to create a chat application with a client and server. Client will ping server for connection and then wait until a connection successful message appears from server or an input prompt appears. Secondly, client will send a message, server will receive the message and then it will broadcast the message to all the clients available to server. BSD sockets should be used for communication.
