Ballistics programming
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
What's necessary is the following. Please note that experience in ballistics, mathematics and simulations are critical:
> Lead computing optical sight given bullet type/muzzle velocity, target range, firing elevation, ownship turn rates and velocity for trajectory shift and kinematic lead estimation, with and without lag indication

> Gun director sight given bullet type/muzzle velocity, target range/velocity/acceleration, ownship velocities for trajectory shift
>

> The F-16 has a display called multiple reference gunsight, which are used against high speed targets at aspect angles from about 60° to 120° to assist in establishing the correct lateral aiming solution so that the target eventually flies up the center of the funnel.

> The F-16 and F-18 also have a Fluid Omni-range/Rate sight (see here: https://wiki.hoggitworld.com/view/F/A-18C#FORESIGHT). Provided with radar track data and gun/round data, outputs for this are also something we require. The F-16 uses a 7.3G solution rather than a 9G solution however, so being able to change the max G value as an input would be useful.

> Bullet Time of Flight and Round at Target Range outputs are also required.

> Given bomb, gun/round, or rocket type, delivery data, and target elevation, we need downrange and crossrange to impact, as well as time of flight, and fusing altitude.

> Note, this is for aircraft cockpit display purposes only, and is not a complete weapon system with actual sim objects and their flight dynamics being simulated. In addition, the source code needs to be platform independent, with the programmers using it only needing to plug in the necessary data inputs and plug the desired outputs into their displays.
Initial weapons would be 20mm/30mm cannon round, Mk82 bomb, Mk84 bomb and HVAR 5 inch rocket (no guidance).
