Autonomous Robot Fleet Control System Development

Job ID: 37971766

Budget: £20 – £250 GBP

I need an expert experienced in ROS (Robot Operating System) 2.0 to design and implement an autonomous control system for a fleet of five specialized robots. The fleet includes 2 surveyors, 2 fetchers, and 1 Data Relay robot.

- Autonomous Vehicles: The surveyor robots will be autonomous vehicles. Any expertise dealing with such vehicles is highly appreciated.

- SLAM Navigation and Cooperation: The autonomous vehicles should be able to self-navigate and cooperate effectively. Thus, I require freelancers with proficiency in SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) navigation and an understanding of effective multi-robot cooperation techniques.

- No specific Hardware Requirements: There are no strict hardware prerequisites. However, I'm open to any necessary suggestions like Lidar sensor, Camera sensor, or GPS module in order to implement SLAM navigation and the cooperation system effectively.
Main Objectives:

The project's primary goal is task allocation and coordination. The autonomous system should mainly prioritize the Data Relay robot's functionality, focusing on its ability to receive and transmit data efficiently.

Ideal Skills:

- Mastery in ROS 2.0
- Proficient in robot control algorithms
- Prior experience in handling multi-robot systems and coordinating tasks between robots
- Good understanding of data transmission processes

Knowledge in robotics, ROS multi-robot control strategies, and autonomous vehicle systems is essential. Also, creativity in providing feasible hardware solutions is highly desirable.
