Buyer and Supplier Sourcing Specialist – Medical Cable Assemblies
We are a manufacturer of Medical Cable Assemblies in the USA and we are looking to expand our product offering. I am looking for a Buyer and Product Specialist who can assist me in sourcing and procuring Medical cable assemblies. We also need you to help us create the product line for Medical Cables and RF Cables (help define which models, suppliers, and costs).
Responsibilities: As a Buyer & Sourcing Agent for Cable Assemblies, you will be responsible for getting quotes from suppliers in Asia Pacific and the USA for components and finished Medical Cable Assemblies, and for issuing Purchase Orders and doing follow up with Suppliers to ensure OTD and compliance with our quality requirements. Our focus is on the Medical industry and experience with cable assemblies and electronic component sourcing is required.
Specific Requirements:
- Find suitable suppliers for Medical assemblies: 13485 certified and with FDA 510K certs
- Getting quotes and managing suppliers in Asia Pacific and in the USA
- sourcing and negotiating costs for materials for cable assemblies (wire, connector, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of cable assemblies and electronic assemblies: The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of different types of cable assemblies and electronic assemblies, including their specifications and functionalities.
- Experience in procurement and supplier management: The candidate should have experience sourcing and managing suppliers, ensuring the highest quality and timely delivery of the assemblies.
- Strong negotiation skills: The candidate should be skilled in negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best prices and terms for the custom-made assemblies.
- Attention to detail: The candidate should have a keen eye for detail to ensure the assemblies meet the required specifications and standards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sourcing Agent and Buyer or in a related role, preferably within the cable assembly or electronics industry.
Strong project management and organizational skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of cable assembly products, manufacturing processes, and industry trends preferred.
