Revamp and Format Company Policies
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Our Security Core, LLC policy manual needs a complete refresh—content and structure in equal measure. The job is two-fold:
1. Strengthen every policy to boost safety while cutting liability exposure.
2. Re-format the entire document so it follows the Atlanta Police Department’s SOP style, e.g., SC.SOP.101.2.3(a). No additional layout preferences are required beyond that schema.
Alongside the general updates, I must add two new, fully developed sections:
• Supervisor responsibilities
• How to properly wear a duty belt with both company approved and issued equipment while in the standard (class A) uniform
• Duty to intercede
• Responsibility of assisting law enforcement with job related incidents so as long as the request or demand is reasonable.
• All employees with work emails are responsible to checking their work email at least once during their any shift they are working.
• ID policy explaining company issued ID cards are to be worn visible to the public on the outer most garment. Damaged or expired ID cards are to be given to a supervisor for replacement. Lost ID card are to be reported and a supervisor must be advised. ID cards are not to be altered or defaced for any reason. Employees are responsible to their company ID visible on their person at all times while in uniform.
• All security officers are only allowed to detain subjects for the following reasons: shoplifting, threats to commit harm or damage to his or herself, others or property belonging to someone other than their own.
Please weave these seamlessly into the rest of the manual, matching tone, voice, and numbering.
Acceptance criteria
• All existing policies updated with clearer language that addresses current safety standards and legal considerations.
• Consistent SOP code applied to every heading, section, subsection, and clause.
• New conduct and incident-reporting sections fully drafted, coded, and cross-referenced.
• Final delivery in editable Word or Google Docs format, ready for internal review and sign-off.
If you have a track record in policy writing or law-enforcement style documentation, this should be a straightforward assignment. I’ll provide the current manual once we begin so you can start the overhaul right away.
