Mining Policy Update Report
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
Each month I need a tightly written, seven-page economic and policy update that keeps industry professionals in the mining sector fully briefed. The report’s core purpose is to inform policy decisions, so clear, actionable insights are essential.
Scope
• Policy analysis – Summarise and interpret the latest legislative or regulatory changes affecting mining operations, royalties, tariffs, environmental standards, and trade.
• Market trends – Highlight key shifts in commodity prices, supply-demand balances, and notable corporate activities that shape strategic planning.
• Concise narrative – Present insights in plain language while retaining the depth expected by executives and analysts.
Format & cadence
• Length: exactly seven pages (including charts or infographics).
• Frequency: delivered once every month, ready for release at the start of the new reporting cycle.
• Structure: executive summary (½ page), detailed sections on policy shifts and market trends, followed by a one-page outlook.
• Citations: all facts backed by reputable sources, listed in endnotes or footnotes.
Preferred approach
I value a writer who can combine desk research with clear economic reasoning, weaving quantitative evidence seamlessly into the commentary without turning the document into a data dump. Familiarity with mining-heavy jurisdictions such as Australia, Canada, and Latin America is a plus.
Deliverables
1. Final PDF (print & digital friendly)
2. Editable source file (Word or Google Docs)
3. Source list with hyperlinks or DOIs
Once we agree on the framework, you’ll draft the first edition; I’ll provide feedback, and we will refine that template for subsequent months.
