Rural Microbank Expansion Strategy

Job ID: 40552185

Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR

I’m preparing to roll out a network of micro-bank branches across rural areas, ideally reaching every village and at minimum all larger villages that act as district hubs. The single goal is to make basic financial services—specifically savings and loans—readily accessible to people who have never had a convenient option nearby.

To succeed, I need a detailed, practical strategy that balances bricks-and-mortar presence with a light digital layer so customers can speak to staff face-to-face yet still resolve routine questions online. Your work should translate this vision into a phased plan that is cost-aware but ambitious enough to scale quickly.

Deliverables
• Feasibility study comparing “every village” versus “large-village only” deployment, with clear metrics on population coverage, projected uptake, and breakeven timelines
• Site-selection framework (data sources, scoring model, GIS mapping if useful) to identify priority locations
• Branch operating model covering staffing, cash management, basic compliance, and the integration of an online support channel
• Rollout roadmap with milestones, risk registers, and KPI targets for the first three years

If you have experience in rural banking, microfinance, or last-mile service delivery and can back up recommendations with solid data, I’m ready to review your approach and timeframe.
