GREATER TENALI LEPROSY TREATMENT AND EDUCATION SCHEME SOCIETY - GRETNALTES, is a Non profit organisation which is working for Health and Education, in Andhra Pradesh.
The organisation is working for the welfare of People affected by Leprosy through a 42 bedded Leprosy Referral Hospital, School in which children who are affected by Leprosy and the children of families affected by Leprosy who are living in the isolated Leprosy colonies.
The organisation is working in-line with the National Leprosy Eradication Programme.
The people affected by Leprosy, suffer with redcurrant of Ulcers, reactions. Also they need Surgical corrections to their deformed hands, feet and eyes. They need customised footwear made up of MCR (Micro Cellular Rubber) to protect their anaesthetic feet. As a protocol every person affected by Leprosy needs 2 pairs of footwear per year. This is the minimum needed component for a person affected by leprosy.
GRETNALTES provides all the clinical leprosy services to the people in 9 districts with free of cost.
GRETNALTES provides IP and OP services.
