I would like to build a platform with the following features listed below.
I already have a web designer who has done this before.
I would like a business plan to be written in order to acquire grants to assist with this startup.
1. the site should be a three-fold platform that connect people who need to have a task done with people willing to provide their services for payment, and an Admin section for the Platform owners.
2. A customer who needs a task to be done fills out their tasks details and views a list of matched and available persons with their profile, rates and reviews and within their proximity. Then the customer can initiate contact with the selected tasker to clarify the task detail within the platform.
3. Payments should be made with the use of escrow method, whereby the customer pays in advance but the money is kept in a middleman account until the job is completed. When the job is approved by the customer, then the service personnel will receive their payment, excluding the platform commission. This provides security for all parties involved including the platform.
4. Registration should allow for user verification: check by email, phone-text (preferably), ID, video interview (optional), etc. The system should ask for such data as name, email, and address, jobs you are willing to perform, rates for the jobs and the level of experience. To complete the registration the system should ask to pay a minimal fee, which is to verify banking/payment data and filter bots and spammers. Incomplete registration/verification should not be able to proceed.
5. Each provider of service should be able to complete their profile, add meaningful details like description of services, portfolio, reference and price. NO personal phone numbers to be on the platform.
6. Platform should automatically displays reviews from verified/authenticated customers, ratings and the number of delivered tasks on the profile to give more confidence to the users selecting the professionals.
7. Filters: The system should use a wizard of questions (3-5) to customers about the requested service to reduce the search time. The matching should take into account skills, proximity, ratings, availability, most recent completed job and to show the best results first.
8. Users should be able to communicate to clarify details, send photos and add some form of personal communication within the platform. This is for having secure payment and the option of resolving any disputes by providing the order with messages.
9. When customers post a job, they can start communication using messages within the site to confirm logistics only after they pay the price of the booked tasks. However the platform does not charge until the task is completed.
10. The platform Admin should be able to collect a large database for pricing for future comparison later.
11. Admin for the Platform will conduct background checks on task doers using a third party company.
12. Arrangements to be made with Google to provide proximity matching of customers to taskers.
