Online Travel Agency Expansion for Tikex.com
Budget: €2 – €6 EUR
Tikex.com is a dynamic ticket and product-selling platform seeking a talented freelancer to help us expand into the online travel agency (OTA) segment. Our objective is to provide a more cost-effective service than major competitors, with a competitive 5% commission on accommodation bookings.
Our platform currently features selling event tickets on Tikex and renting rooms on an hourly basis on vig1.hu. However, renting accommodations on a daily basis is not yet part of our product offering. However, we need to enhance it with additional features such as
- Cancellation policies
- Amenities management for accommodations
- Customer service handling
- Booking-based customer communication
- Refund management
- Importing listings from other OTAs
A key goal of our expansion is to compensate for our platform's lower visibility compared to major competitors by leveraging Google Maps presence. Many travelers search on Google Maps, and by enabling our business partners to add their properties to Google Maps and other social media platforms, we aim to increase visibility and attract more bookings.
Furthermore, our calendar integrations will allow accommodation partners to use our platform alongside other advertising platforms. This approach provides a more cost-effective option for partners, allowing them to reach a wider audience while benefiting from lower costs.
We require a comprehensive business plan outlining strategies to achieve these goals. The plan should include
- Market Analysis Understanding the current landscape and identifying opportunities.
- Pricing Strategy Determining the most effective pricing model to attract both customers and partners.
- Risk Assessment Evaluating potential legal, regulatory, and human resource risks.
- Competitive Analysis Assessing competitors and defining our unique value proposition.
- Market Needs Identifying what customers and partners expect from an OTA.
