Business Start up idea

I'm interested in starting a new business and am exploring ideas in the tech industry. I don't currently have a business plan in place but I have a rough outline of what I'm looking to accomplish. I'm considering making a small investment in this venture. I'm looking to hire someone to help me go over my ideas and create a comprehensive business plan and project timeline. Subsequently, I'm looking for input on the industry, how to approach potential investors, and any other advice you can offer up to make sure that this business start up is successful.
