I opened Alex Ryan Salon November 5th, 2019. I opened with one stylist and myself. We were thriving after we opened and had niche in the market in our area. We are the only high-end beauty salon in a 30-mile radius. Six months later I had to close the salon down for three months due to Covid. After reopening we were at limited capacity and lost a lot of our existing clients and the momentum of growth we had started to create. However, because I'm a fighter and believed in my vision and dream we persevered. My salon currently has seven stylists, one esthetician and I opened a small Woman's clothing Boutique attached to the salon a year ago this month. We are doing great!!! We are thriving and have grown so fast that I am now at a point where I'm struggling to keep up with the growth because I don't have enough working capital to hire the help I need. This is a woman owned, woman ran business and I want to continue to grow and support other young woman our industry.
The fact that my business has grown so fast and has thrived in the midst of a global pandemic, speaks volumes about the culture I have created and the vision I have. I have built this from the literal ground up and want to continue to grow my brand so that I can eventually open a non-profit to help other young women achieve their dreams and goals, but also to create awareness for two very specific topics that are close to my heart. Craniostenosis and Glioblastoma Brain Cancer. Believe me when I say that what I myself and my family have gone through in the last 2 years personally, all while building this business I think could be extremely inspirational. Please ask me anything, take a look at my website for the salon. Alexryansalon.com. Come visit me to see for yourself or call me. We can chat about my story and the future vision for my company.
