Water Department BI and GIS Dashboard Design
Budget: ₹75,000 – ₹150,000 INR
1. Project Objective
To design, develop, and deploy a Business Intelligence (BI) and Geospatial Dashboard that enables the Water Department of Delhi to:
Monitor real-time water supply and distribution
Track citizen complaints and service SLAs
Analyze consumption, demand forecasting, and revenue collection
Detect and reduce leakages and non-revenue water (NRW)
Manage assets through GIS-based mapping
This will enhance transparency, operational efficiency, and decision-making for the department.
2. Scope of Work (In-Scope)
2.1 Dashboard Development
Water Supply Monitoring
Real-time status of reservoirs, tanks, pumps, and pipeline pressure.
Consumption & Demand Analytics
Daily/weekly/monthly consumption reports, zone-wise usage.
Demand forecasting with seasonal patterns.
Revenue & Billing Analytics
Billing collection trends, arrears, and outstanding payments.
Citizen Complaint Tracking
Complaint registration, resolution SLA monitoring, and geo-tagged heatmaps.
Asset Management
GIS-based tagging and monitoring of pipelines, valves, pumps, and meters.
Mobile-Friendly Role-Based Access
Engineers, Supervisors, and Department Heads with relevant KPIs.
2.2 Geospatial (GIS) Integration
Integration with GIS layers (ArcGIS/QGIS/Mapbox/Google Maps API).
Map-based visualization of supply network, consumption, and complaints.
Zone-wise color coding for supply pressure, NRW, and complaint hotspots.
2.3 Technology Stack
BI Tools: Power BI / Tableau / Qlik (to be finalized with client).
Database Integration: Existing SCADA, ERP, and Billing System.
GIS Integration: ArcGIS/QGIS or Web Map APIs (Leaflet/Mapbox).
Deployment: On-Premise or Govt.-approved Cloud (as per policy).
3. Out of Scope (Can be considered as Phase-2 Enhancements)
Predictive maintenance using AI/ML.
IoT-based smart metering integration.
Mobile citizen app for direct grievance logging.
