Senior Software Engineer - Power BI - 8+ Years

Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting
● Gather, analyze, and interpret complex datasets from various sources to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
● Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Snowflake.
● Translate technical findings into clear, concise recommendations for business stakeholders.
Data Modeling & Warehousing
● Collaborate with data engineers and IT teams to design and optimize data models supporting analytical and reporting requirements.
● Support the development and maintenance of Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW) and data marts.
● Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all BI platforms and reports.
Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Collaboration
● Partner with business users to understand their analytical needs and translate them into technical deliverables.
● Provide guidance on data availability, limitations, and best practices for leveraging BI solutions.
BI Tool Development & Maintenance
● Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for integrating data from multiple sources.
● Optimize existing BI dashboards and reports for performance and usability.
● Troubleshoot and resolve data issues, providing timely support to business users.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
● Continuously monitor BI solution performance and underlying infrastructure to ensure scalability and reliability.
Experience Required:
● Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence, data analysis, or data warehousing.
● Proven expertise in Tableau, Power BI, and other leading BI tools.
● Strong command of SQL for data querying, transformation, and performance tuning.
● Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema).
Technical Skills:
● Advanced SQL skills including stored procedures and performance optimization.
● Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Snowflake.
● Familiarity with ETL tools like SSIS, Informatica, or Azure Data Factory.
● Understanding of data warehousing principles, methodologies, and architecture.
Soft Skills:
● Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with keen attention to detail.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills—able to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.
