Power BI - Daily Bank Dashboard
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I have an Excel master file that holds daily closing balances for several bank accounts along with the matching daily exchange rate. I need a functional Power BI dashboard that will let me:
• Display each account’s closing balance in its own base currency and automatically convert it into our single business base currency using the daily rate supplied in the file.
• Group and filter all accounts by region so I can focus on UK and Ireland region in isolation.
• Visualise trends over time—line charts that clearly show how balances move day-to-day and over custom date ranges.
Core scope
1. Build a tidy data model from the example file (date table, currency table, relationships).
2. Create a main dashboard page with key metrics (latest balance, percentage change, region filters).
3. Visualise trends over time
4. Make all visuals fully interactive (hover details, slicers for region and date).
5. Document any DAX measures so I can maintain them later.
The goal is an easy-to-refresh .pbix file that I can simply point at an updated Excel sheet each day. If you have ideas for additional visuals—bar comparisons or small multiples—I’m open to them as long as the core scope is delivered.
