Vendor Acquisition Lead Needed
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
I’m building out the growth team for our fashion-forward multivendor marketplace and need a Business Development Lead who can live and breathe vendor acquisition. Your primary scorecard will be the number and quality of brands you bring onto the platform, followed closely by how quickly you can get them fully onboarded and selling.
What makes you the right fit? First, you’ve already done this before—your proven track record in vendor onboarding is what I’m after. When you speak to a potential partner you know exactly how to position a marketplace’s value, negotiate favorable terms, and move conversations from “maybe” to signed agreements. Because we run on a WooCommerce stack, familiarity with that ecosystem will let you hit the ground running; experience with Shopify, Amazon, or other channels is definitely useful, but the WooCommerce know-how is what shortens our launch cycle.
Day-to-day you’ll own:
• Sourcing qualified fashion brands and pitching our platform’s unique proposition.
• Guiding each vendor through account setup, catalog upload, pricing, and fulfillment alignment until their first sale goes live.
• Collaborating with operations to keep order processing smooth and SLAs intact.
• Tracking KPIs—net new vendors, GMV per vendor, return rate—and iterating on outreach tactics to beat monthly growth targets.
Success is straightforward: consistently exceed the vendor acquisition target we agree on, maintain healthy vendor relationships that translate into repeat sales, and surface process improvements that tighten overall marketplace operations.
If you can already picture the pipeline you’d build for us, let’s talk.
