Salvage Yard Dropship Partnership Scout

Job ID: 39908088

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

I need a resourceful business-development consultant to secure drop-shipping partnerships with reputable used-auto-parts salvage yards throughout the West Coast and Midwest.

What I’m after
• Identify and vet yards with solid reputations, a broad and varied inventory, and proven—or at least easily adaptable—drop-shipping processes.
• Negotiate preliminary terms so the supplier is ready to ship directly to my customers.
• Where a yard lacks true drop-ship capability, outline a value-for-money logistics workaround that still moves parts quickly and cost-effectively.

Scope of work
1. Market scan: compile a researched list (>15 suppliers or salvage yards) with contact names, inventory highlights, ratings/reviews, and current shipping practices.
2. Outreach & qualification: engage each yard, confirm interest, and gather information on catalog update frequency or its Online API, handling fees, and service levels, Payment terms
3. Partnership briefing: present a comparison matrix and your recommended top picks, complete with proposed margins, expected shipping times, and any special handling notes.
4. Logistics optimisation: for non-dropping yards that meet inventory or reputation thresholds, design an alternate shipping plan—e.g., regional 3PL, freight consolidators—showing costs and transit estimates.

Please document findings in a shareable format (Google Sheets or Excel) and log communications in any common CRM or spreadsheet. Weekly progress updates are fine; I’m flexible on call times as long as milestones stay on track.

Your background in auto-parts supply chains, cold outreach, and negotiating will be critical, and familiarity with tools like ZoomInfo, HubSpot, or similar databases will speed things up.
