International NFC Passport Tester Coordinator
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Project Overview
I’m developing an open-source NFC passport reader with both iOS and Android apps. We need someone to take ownership of participant recruitment and coordination, ensuring smooth data collection and troubleshooting. All data collected is limited to debug information—no personal or sensitive details are stored.
Responsibilities
Recruit Participants
Find and manage individuals from various countries who are willing to scan their passports on both iOS and Android devices.
Coordinate Testing & Debugging. We could incentivize participants with money.
If issues are detected in a specific country, you will engage directly with participants (in collaboration with us) to troubleshoot and gather detailed debug logs.
When a participant’s feedback leads to an app improvement, an additional bonus (amount to be determined for each case) will be rewarded.
Ensure Legal Compliance
You are legally responsible for verifying the legality of NFC passport scanning in each participant’s location.
We are not liable for any legal ramifications if this activity is restricted in certain jurisdictions.
Deliver Organized, High-Quality Debug Data
Provide debug logs (devoid of PII) promptly and accurately.
Maintain clear communication about progress, issues, and resolutions.
Payment Structure
Base Payment: \$100
Covers the overall management and coordination.
Per Participant Bonus: \$5
For each verified participant who completes the NFC scanning and submits valid debug logs.
Additional Bonus
Awarded per successful improvement that arises from your troubleshooting efforts with participants. The exact amount will be defined each time, based on the complexity and impact of the improvement.
Milestones
Milestone 1 ($25)
Setup your recruitment strategy.
Successfully collect at least one valid debug scan (iOS and Android) from Belgium, Switzerland, Canada, and Singapore. (In total —and each tested on both iOS and Android.)
Milestone 2 ($25)
After 15 participants have successfully submitted valid debug data — both Android and iOS
Milestone 3 (Remaining $50)
Upon reaching the final target (or the agreed-upon number of participants) and delivering all debug logs securely and accurately.
