Job Description
We are looking for a results-driven Sourcing Specialist / Business Development Representative based in Indonesia to help us find and vet contract manufacturers (Maklon) for a new Clear Protein Water (Ready-to-Drink) product.
Clear Protein is a specialized beverage that requires specific production capabilities (Acid-stable Whey/Collagen, heat treatment, and filtration) to ensure the liquid remains transparent and shelf-stable.
Responsibilities
- Market Mapping: Identify beverage factories (Maklon) in Indonesia with RTD (bottling) capabilities, specifically those experienced with functional/protein drinks.
- Vetting: Contact factories to verify if they can produce "Clear" protein (not milky) and if they have experience with Whey Protein Isolate (WPI).
- Negotiation: Obtain information on Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ), lead times, and pricing structures
Requirements
- Based in Indonesia (Jakarta/Java area preferred).
- Fluent in Indonesian (Bahasa).
- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or business development within the Food & Beverage or FMCG industry.
- Strong understanding of the Indonesian "Maklon" (Contract Manufacturing) landscape.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Deliverables
A shortlist of 3–5 qualified factories with detailed profiles including:
- Production capacity and technology used.
- MOQ and estimated cost per unit.
- Direct contact person (Factory Manager/Business Development).
