Business Developer for Sheet Metal
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I run a sheet-metal fabrication shop that serves the HVAC and ventilation sector, and I’m ready to push our local sales to the next level. My immediate goal is straightforward: boost revenue by bringing in a steady stream of qualified, contract-ready customers inside our home market.
You’ll take full ownership of lead generation, relationship building, and closing. That means identifying local contractors, OEMs, facility managers, and construction firms that rely on precision sheet-metal components, reaching out through LinkedIn, industry events, phone, and targeted email, then nurturing each prospect until the first purchase order lands. A working knowledge of HVAC and ventilation terminology will help you speak our customers’ language, but the core focus stays on promoting our sheet-metal manufacturing capability.
I use HubSpot today to track the pipeline, so you should feel comfortable logging every touchpoint, updating deal stages, and producing concise weekly progress snapshots. Expect plenty of autonomy—if you have a better outreach stack or want to supplement efforts with Adwords or trade-publication ads, pitch it and we’ll test quickly.
Deliverables I need to see:
• A 90-day go-to-market plan outlining targets, messaging, and activity cadence
• Weekly CRM reports showing new leads, current pipeline value, and next actions
• A minimum of two net-new qualified purchase discussions booked per week
• End-of-month review summarising wins, losses, and tactical adjustments
Success is measured first by consistent lead flow, then by closed revenue. If we hit agreed milestones, we can look at expanding into neighbouring regions next. Let’s talk strategy and timelines—show me how you’ll turn local prospects into long-term customers.
