About Us
Kraig Biocraft Laboratories, Inc. is a leading developer of recombinant spider silk technologies. We engineer and produce high-performance silk fibers with applications across luxury textiles, performance apparel, and advanced materials markets. We are now seeking to expand downstream by engaging and partnering with apparel producers and brands that can integrate our next-generation materials into high-end fashion and performance textile products.

About the Role
We are looking for a consultant with direct experience in the apparel marketing and distribution, particularly in luxury apparel or performance apparel, to help us identify and evaluate potential joint venture partners. The consultant will leverage both research and first-hand industry knowledge to develop a curated list of companies best suited for partnership opportunities.

These partners should be apparel producers or brands that could directly benefit from incorporating recombinant spider silk into their product lines — whether through enhanced luxury feel and exclusivity or performance attributes such as strength, elasticity, and lightweight durability.

Key Responsibilities
• Identify apparel producers and brands with annual revenues between $25M and $200M.
• Focus on companies with expertise in luxury textiles or performance-driven apparel.
• Compile company profiles including:
o Leadership/ownership information
o Core products and markets
o Manufacturing capabilities
o Recent partnerships, joint ventures, or collaborations
• Deliver insights and recommendations rooted in practical industry experience.

Qualifications
• Proven work history in apparel marketing, distribution, and strategic partnerships.
• Personal knowledge of, or network access to, companies in the luxury and/or performance apparel markets.
• Strong understanding of mid-market manufacturers ($25M–$200M sales range).
• Ability to evaluate companies for joint venture or co-manufacturing opportunities.
• Excellent communication and research skills.

Deliverables
• A vetted list of 25–50 qualified apparel companies with detailed profiles.
• A report highlighting why these companies represent strong joint venture candidates.
• Optional: Industry outreach and engagement.
