LLP Setup Guidance for NRI

Job ID: 40527059

Budget: $30 – $250 AUD

I am an Overseas Citizen of India preparing to launch an e-commerce venture and I want to structure it as a Limited Liability Partnership registered in India. Before I move ahead with filings, I need clear, practical guidance on every compliance step so I can operate confidently from overseas.

Your role is to walk me through the legal structure and compliance landscape that applies to an NRI-owned LLP: eligibility, RBI and FEMA considerations, DIN/DSC requirements, name reservation, incorporation documents, partnership agreement clauses, and the recurring tax and regulatory filings that will follow. I am looking for both high-level strategy (so I understand the sequence and timing) and detailed, actionable instructions with the latest forms, portals, and rule references.

Please outline the full process in plain language, highlight any specific hurdles an OCI founder typically faces, and give me a checklist I can use to track progress—from application submission through GST registration and the opening of a compliant current account. If you can supply draft wording for the LLP agreement and pointers on maintaining ecommerce-related compliances (FSSAI, IT rules, consumer protection, etc.) that will be a bonus.

When we are done I want to have:
• A step-by-step roadmap with estimated timelines
• A compliance checklist tailored to an NRI-owned LLP
• Draft or template documents ready for filing and signature
• Answers to my targeted questions via one live call or detailed written notes

If you have recent experience incorporating LLPs for founders residing outside India and keeping them compliant, I would value that insight.
