Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Consultant & Developer (Alabama / Birmingham Preferred)

Ringmetall Group, an international industrial manufacturing company headquartered in Germany, is looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Consultant and Developer to support our US operations, primarily Berger US in Birmingham, Alabama.
We are seeking a highly skilled independent freelancer who can act as a trusted advisor and technical expert for ongoing Business Central support, enhancements, integrations, troubleshooting, and future projects.
While remote work is acceptable, candidates located in Alabama (preferably Birmingham) are strongly preferred for occasional on-site workshops and business meetings.

Ringmetall Group operates globally and is currently standardizing and optimizing its ERP landscape. Our US subsidiary operates Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and several connected business applications within a manufacturing environment.
We are looking for a long-term partner rather than a one-time contractor.
Responsibilities

Business Central functional and technical support
AL development and customization
Troubleshooting and performance optimization
Extension development and maintenance
Integration support and development
User training and knowledge transfer
Business process optimization
Support during upgrades and releases
Documentation of solutions and changes
Participation in workshops with business users and management
Strategic consulting for future ERP improvements

Desired Skills & Experience
Required

5+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or Dynamics 365 Business Central
Strong AL development skills
Experience with Business Central SaaS environments
Deep understanding of finance, purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, and sales processes
Experience with API integrations
Excellent English communication skills
Ability to work independently

Experience with:

Jet Reports
Document Management Solutions
Shop Floor Systems
Power Platform
Azure Integration Services
Power BI


Knowledge of Business Central tenant migrations
Located in Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, or surrounding states
Availability for occasional on-site support in Birmingham, Alabama
