Business Central Timesheets & Projects Setup
Budget: $8 – $15 CAD
We are midway through our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central roll-out and I now need a specialist to finish the pieces that touch our day-to-day project work.
Timesheets
– Build user-friendly timesheet pages, link them to our existing jobs table, and make sure the data flows cleanly into Job Ledger Entries and G/L.
Project management configuration
– Fine-tune the native resource allocation tools so project managers can see capacity versus demand at a glance, assign people quickly, and adjust allocations without breaking posted entries.
Tracking & analytics
– Show me proven ways to turn those timesheet and job records into actionable insights. I want clear, repeatable steps for building standard reports (Power BI or Business Central’s own account schedules are both fine) that highlight utilisation, project burn, and forecasted versus actual hours.
By the end of the engagement I need:
• A working timesheet setup in our live company, tested with two user groups.
• Resource allocation features configured and documented.
• A short playbook (video or PDF) outlining the reporting process and best-practice workflow for entering, approving, and analysing time.
Access to our sandbox is ready, and our internal admin will be on hand to grant permissions or move code to production when you give the green light.
