Business Central Automation & Controls
Budget: €15 – €36 EUR
Our Business Central instance is up and running, yet far from its full potential. Day-to-day data entry still happens by hand, monthly reports are pieced together in Excel, and approval chains remain partly manual. I need a Business Central expert who can step in, analyse what we have, and put in place the automations, user controls, and workflows that will let the system work for us instead of the other way around.
Core focus areas
• Automations – streamline repetitive data-entry tasks and build one-click report generation; Power Automate, configuration packages, or AL extensions are all on the table as long as they deliver a smooth, error-free experience.
• Financial controls – tighten user permissions, enforce approval hierarchies, and ensure that every transaction is audit-ready before it is posted.
• Workflows – map our purchase, sales, and expense processes, then configure BC workflows so approvals move automatically and users are prompted only for real exceptions.
• Leveraging tools– We know there are tools in business central that we are not getting the most out of i.e. payment reconcilliation journals, help us learn and adapt!
What I expect to receive
1. A clear implementation plan after an initial scoping/agreeing priorities
2. Working automations for our key data-entry and reporting bottlenecks, demonstrated in UAT.
3. Configured permission sets and approval workflows that meet the agreed control matrix.
4. A concise handover pack: screenshots, how-to guides, and any AL / Power Automate files needed for future maintenance.
The project is complete when my team can process transactions, trigger reports, and pass approvals in Business Central without reverting to spreadsheets or manual sign-offs. If that challenge sounds straightforward to you, let’s get started.
