After high school, there are few options for young adults with autism. Parents are left scrambling to try and find adequate care for their special children. I am the parent of a young adult son with autism. After high school my son was left with few options in spending his time during the day. He is very much in need of the socialization that his peers offered while in school. My son Tre' is considered low functioning and nonverbal even though he is independent and needs very little supervision. I am in need of a business plan and a grant proposal for starting and adult socialization center for young adults with autism. Hours will be Monday through Friday from 7 a.m to 6 p.m. The center will allow parents a drop off much as they did during the school year. The center will be year round. The center will provide activities to to fit each individuals goals and needs. Life skills will also be one of our goals. As parents age, there needs to be a plan in place for these individuals. Our well trained professionals will provide meals and administer medications as most of these individuals will need. The Trejorscott Center for Autism is the place to be.
