1. Business Development Intern
The Role:
Position: Business Development Intern
Division: Sales & Marketing
Location: Remote, Frequent Travel Required in India
Job Type: Fixed Term Full Time (12 months)
Role Summary:
The primary focus of this role is to generate and drive sales for key marketing initiatives of Travelmeans.
In the initial 6 months, the role is solely responsible for establishing and developing a complete end to end model for the product and its distribution across India. This includes focussed coordination with regional artists, key distributors of the finished product, and the end user.
The role would require the chosen candidate to develop a sustainable and profitable business model for the above-mentioned initiative through effective management of all the relevant stakeholders and external firms engaged in the process.
Finally, this role will also need to operate and manage the company's website and social media channels and provide inputs on using these to drive customers.
Reporting Line:
The chosen candidate will report directly to the Travelmeans Board of Directors on an agreed frequency. However, reporting directions may change in the future as the role progresses.
Your Key Responsibilities:
● Establish and develop a complete end to end model for product distribution across India
● Liaise with CTO on accurate requirements and expectations from the online platform on Travelmeans Website and Social Media channels
● Establish and promote a clear customer value proposition
● Develop and explain new initiatives, ideas, and best work practices
● Develop and maintain key documents in line with the local laws to ensure all sales are registered properly including the GST criteria
● Develop model to calculate cost of customer acquisition and report on this metric while eventually bringing it down
● Managing third party engagement inline with the outcome of the Board Committee decisions
● Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications & Knowledge:
● Understanding of different business models
● Awareness of or interest in Indian art and handicrafts
● Experience or exposure to e-commerce business models
Remuneration:
Salary: ₹25,000 per month
Other benefits: flexible location and work hours (with annual leaves?), travel allowances, annual bonus and possibility of extension (to permanent role) based on individual and company performance
