Tutoring Portal Requirements Documentation

Job ID: 40235827

Budget: $250 – $750 CAD

I need a seasoned Business Systems Analyst to capture every functional and non-functional detail for a new tutoring portal and organise it clearly in Confluence (or Miro if you prefer). The platform will support free pre-recorded group sessions with live-chat support alongside paid 1:1 tutoring, so all journeys must reflect both flows.

Scope of work
• Map and document complete experience journeys for Students, Tutors and Administrators from first visit through post-session follow-up.
• Convert those journeys into user stories, acceptance criteria and wire-flow diagrams directly inside Confluence/Miro so the product, design and engineering teams can comment in real time.
• Detail the student feature set—including Live Chat Support, Access to Pre-Recorded Sessions, Booking 1:1 Sessions, Payment Management, Knowledge Library, Session History and Assessments & Reports—down to field-level requirements and edge-case handling.
• Produce a data model, permission matrix and integration notes (payments, video streaming, analytics).
• Maintain a running RAID log and weekly burn-down to keep the four-week timeline on track.

Process & cadence
We will start with an onboarding call to review background research you’ll have completed ahead of time. From there I expect:
– Daily Confluence updates before EOD in my time zone.
– A short stand-up call three times a week (flexible on exact times).
– A recorded walk-through of each major journey as it’s finalised so stakeholders can review asynchronously.

Deliverables (all due within 4 weeks)
1. Confluence space (or Miro board) containing:
– End-to-end journey maps for each role
– Fully groomed user stories with acceptance criteria
– Wire-flow diagrams and linked lo-fi screens
– Data model ERD and permission matrix
2. Consolidated requirements document export (PDF) for offline reference
3. Final review meeting and hand-over of editable source files

Completion is signed off when every user story is traceable back to a journey map, all stakeholders’ comments are resolved, and the PDF export matches the Confluence content precisely.

If you have a track record of turning complex education ideas into crystal-clear specs and can keep a rapid feedback loop, let’s get started right away—our countdown to four weeks begins as soon as you’re onboarded.
