Transitioning legacy family business to a modern workspace with key HR interventions; and strategic planning for growth of small businesses

● Short description of the project:
Broadly, the roles and responsibilities will involve the following:
1) HR Audit and Assessment. Candidate is expected to conduct a comprehensive audit of
existing HR practices, policies, and procedures. Evaluate their effectiveness, identify gaps,
and assess alignment with modern workplace requirements.
2) Planning strategy closely with the director. Must help create a digital dashboard with low
cost technological practices and introduce workflow improvements, including introducing
processes of measurement of key performance metrics.
3) Preparing report or roadmap to growth of two small scale private limited companies in
the residential construction and unarmed private security industries. Candidates must work
closely with director to identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue growth, and
profitability enhancement and interpret and assess the company's performance, identify
trends, and provide actionable insights to management.
● Project deliverables: Expected end products from the assignment
A-Z of HR checklist execution including preparing organisation charts; JDs; contracts;
compliance checks; recruitment etc .
Setting performance management systems. Candidate is expected to design and implement
a performance management system that aligns individual and team goals with the overall
business objectives.
HR Metrics and Analytics Dashboard. Create a reporting mechanism and HR metrics
dashboard to track and measure key HR performance indicators and provide insights for
decision-making.
To work with the director to review and establish growth strategies including implementing
cost control measures and establish expense management strategies, in addition to
reviewing budget performance and providing recommendations to optimize spending. To
suggest improvements in collection and analysis of financial insights to support
decision-making on pricing, product/service profitability, and resource allocation.
● Duration of the project:
Expected time is between 3 to 6 months.
● Capacity required days/week:
Approximately 5-6 days a week.
● Skills required: Ideal qualifications and prior work experience; functional and industry
experience expected in the consultant.
Require a versatile candidate, someone who has business, management and legal
acumen and skills in addition to background in HR. Ideally looking for someone who can help
set processes in place for talent acquisition and hiring and for recruitment but also for

Educational Background:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or
a related field. Additional Education in compliance and legal statutory requirements is
recommended.
Work Background:
HR Management Experience: Significant experience in various HR roles, such as HR manager,
HR business partner, or HR consultant.
Business Strategy and Planning: Exposure to business strategy and planning through work
experience in strategy consulting, business development, or strategic planning roles. This
experience should involve analyzing market trends, competitive landscape, and growth
opportunities for businesses.
Legal Compliance and Employment Law: Experience working in roles that involve legal
compliance and employment law, such as legal counsel, HR legal specialist, or employment
law consultant.
Small Business or Entrepreneurial Experience: Direct involvement in small business
management, entrepreneurship, or startup ventures.
Industry Experience: Exposure to the residential civil construction and unarmed private
security industries, either through direct work experience or consulting projects. Familiarity
with the dynamics, regulations, and best practices of these industries.
● Minimum work experience required:
Minimum would be 7 years of experience
