Rice Planting Guidance Needed
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I am getting ready to grow my own rice strictly for household consumption and need hands-on, actionable guidance focused on the planting stage only. My interest is limited to paddy cultivation; I am not looking for post-harvest or export advice right now.
What I expect from you
• A clear, step-by-step planting plan—from land preparation and seed selection through sowing, transplanting, and early growth management.
• Practical recommendations for tools, inputs, and sustainable techniques that a new farmer can realistically afford and source locally.
• Simple monitoring checklists for water levels, nutrient application, and common pest or disease signs during the first 60–90 days.
Acceptance criteria
1. The plan must be delivered in an easy-to-follow document (PDF or Word) I can print and bring to the field.
2. All measurements, timings, and input quantities should be adaptable for small plots (please indicate how to scale up or down).
3. Advice must align with typical Southeast Asian climates—no temperate-zone assumptions.
If you have prior experience working directly with smallholder paddy farmers or can show sample guides you’ve produced, let me know. Looking forward to practical, field-ready instructions I can put to use this season.
