So, we have a scientific product, built for analytical, quality control, and testing laboratories, that is a manual tool (not an instrument) that assists with preparation of KBr pellets (samples) for FTIR. We do not know how to do market research, product feasability, PnL projections, division of increasing shares and so on. The product is simple enough that it can be made in one machine shop easily, then sent to paint place for epoxy coating we think. Anyway, we need everything that would be needed to evaluate the likelihood of success for this. Yes, ATR methods and modules make KBr pellet press somewhat obsolete, but we think there are enough users of this style of sample preparation to be of benefit. We have not gotten to proof of principle via prototype, but we are working on provisional patent status. We should check ourself before we wreck ourself, as the saying goes. If you do well, and this is profitable, I am not sure how, in terms of the specifics of this platform, but there is room to be rewarded if/when it gets to market (probably through a continuous stream of future project help or something similar; we want to comply with the rules here; whatever works beset).
Again, please think long term, there is other work to be done if you do well. At minimum, contacts at the big boy science company's product evaluation team is a must. If you have the guts to make phone calls, make emails, do the leg work, we have room in the future for you. Our focus is currently on product development, and also a monster algorithmic trading program, auditable results and machine learning optimization. There may be room for your help in that in the future. Patience, steady proper growth according to good product development principles. Feel free to use Access, word (times new roman 12), wordpad, excel, gannt diagrams, and all the normal forms of expression and calculations for product feasability.
