Innovative Construction-Based Economic Growth Plan
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
2. Proponent is required to prepare and submit a Socio-Economic Plan in accordance with the Socio-Economic Requirements of Contractors that identifies specific work/employment opportunities to be made available during Proponent's execution of the Work associated with this RFP.
Proponent is required to prepare and submit a Socio-Economic Plan which shall contain, at a minimum, the following information:
A. Detailed description of the Proponent’s ownership structure (i.e. Indigenous, local or other).
B. Detailed information about the Indigenous and local businesses Proponent intends to utilize as subcontractors and the quality and quantity of subcontracting opportunities to be made available to those businesses, including an estimated value and (projected time frame of Work) for each subcontract opportunity identified.
C. Where an Indigenous business was consulted, but was not selected to perform work, reasons why that decision was made.
D. Education, training and other skills development initiatives implemented or planned, if any, for Indigenous people within Proponent’s organization.
E. Anticipated percentage of the total workforce that Proponent will direct hire from Indigenous or local communities as part of the Proponent’s total workforce for the Project (Company may provide a list of trained local workers to Proponents in the future. It is Company’s preference that these workers be utilized over temporary foreign workers where possible).
F. Identification of the single point of contact within the Proponent’s organization responsible for Indigenous engagement, including resolution of any execution issues that may arise.
G. A detailed history of the Proponent’s historical Indigenous business engagement and employment involvement on previous projects and generally.
H. Describe the protocol and approach to regular and consistent engagement with local and Indigenous businesses including a copy of any policies the Proponent has in this area.
