Responsibilities:
Competitor Analysis: Research and analyze features and functionalities offered by competing EMR systems in various modules (e.g., Patient Records, Billing, Allergies, CPT/ICD Codes, Clinical Documentation, etc.).
Medical Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of medical terminology, coding systems (CPT, ICD), clinical workflows, and healthcare regulations to bridge the gap between technical and medical aspects.
Feature Translation: Translate complex medical and clinical concepts into functional requirements that can be integrated into your EMR system.
System Integration: Collaborate with technical teams to ensure accurate integration of medical concepts into the EMR, including proper handling of medical codes, terminologies, and data exchange standards.
Clinical Data: Analyze and ensure accurate representation of clinical data, including diagnosis, procedures, medications, allergies, and other relevant patient information.
Usability and User Experience: Collaborate with the UI/UX team to design user-friendly interfaces that align with medical workflows and provide a seamless experience for healthcare professionals.
Documentation: Create detailed documentation that outlines the mapping of medical concepts to EMR functionalities, including workflows, data structures, and relevant references.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the EMR system complies with relevant healthcare regulations, standards, and data privacy requirements (e.g., HIPAA).
Stakeholder Communication: Act as a bridge between medical professionals, technical teams, and UI/UX designers, ensuring effective communication and understanding of medical requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong background in healthcare, with knowledge of medical terminology, clinical workflows, and medical coding systems (CPT, ICD, SNOMED CT).
Familiarity with EMR systems and healthcare software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to translate medical requirements into actionable features.
Detail-oriented and organized to ensure accurate implementation of medical data.
