I'm seeking assistance with an academic field study in Political Science and Economics. The ideal freelancer for this project should have a strong background in political science or economics and proven experience in conducting or assisting with field studies.

How does the circulation and outflow of Black dollars within Alabama's real estate and banking industries impact Black wealth accumulation, and what targeted policies and business strategies can improve economic retention in Black communities?
Scope of the Study
This study focuses on two key industries—real estate and construction, and banking to analyze how Black dollars circulate within Alabama’s economy. It will explore:
• Real Estate & Construction: Black homeownership trends, challenges in property development, and barriers to accessing real estate investment opportunities.
• Banking: The role of Black-owned banks, disparities in lending and financial access, and how mainstream banking practices impact Black wealth circulation.
The research will include data analysis, policy review, and interviews with Black business owners, financial professionals, and consumers to assess structural barriers and identify opportunities for improvement.
Delimitation of the Study
This research is limited to Alabama, with a primary focus on major urban centers such as Birmingham, Montgomery, and Mobile, where Black economic activity is most concentrated. The study will not analyze informal economies, underground financial activities, or non-monetized cultural exchanges. It will also focus on existing policies and economic structures, rather than forecasting future legislative changes or national economic shifts.
Significance of the Study
This study seeks to generate new knowledge on how Black wealth circulates within Alabama’s economy, offering data-driven insights to policymakers, business leaders, and community organizations. By identifying industry-specific barriers and policy gaps, the research will:
• Provide strategic recommendations for strengthening Black business development and homeownership.
• Offer practical solutions for increasing financial inclusion and access to capital.
• Inform economic policies that support Black wealth retention and reduce economic leakage.
