Create Comprehensive Startup SOP Library
Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD
I’m looking for an experienced SOP specialist who can partner with my small creative start-up over the next four weeks to build a complete, scalable operating manual from the ground up.
Scope
Our immediate focus is Operations, where nothing is yet documented. From the moment an idea leaves the sketchbook to the instant a finished product ships, I need every step captured, clarified, and organised. While Inventory Management, Order Fulfillment, and Supplier Coordination will certainly emerge during our sessions, I’m open to your guidance on what other operational touchpoints deserve attention.
What I need from you
• Map current workflows through interviews, screen-shares, or shadowing sessions.
• Draft clear, actionable SOPs with numbered steps, decision points, and expected outputs.
• Enrich the text with diagrams or flowcharts (Lucidchart, Miro, or similar) so new hires can grasp processes at a glance.
• Package everything into a digital library—Google Workspace, Notion, or another structure you recommend—so each procedure is easy to locate, search, and update.
• Check for compliance, safety, and quality standards as we go, flagging any gaps.
Acceptance criteria
1. Every agreed-upon operational process has its own document, version-controlled and hyperlinked within the library.
2. Each SOP contains: purpose, scope, responsible roles, required tools/materials, step-by-step actions, visual aid, and revision history.
3. A brief hand-over session leaves my team confident in maintaining and scaling the library independently.
Timeline
Kick-off on hire date, with a two-week drafting sprint, one-week revision cycle, and final delivery in week four.
If you’re organised, concise, and passionate about turning chaos into clarity, I’d love to hear how you’d approach this project and see a sample of your previous SOP work.
