Book Chapter Reviewer — Business Grads, Native-Level English ($20–$30 per chapter, 29 chapters)

About the project

I'm the author of The Business of Cyber Security (2026) — a 525-page book on the economics of the cybersecurity industry: markets, valuation, M&A, venture capital, private equity. It's live on Amazon. I need sharp business-trained readers to review it chapter by chapter. Your feedback shapes the second edition and the course materials universities are evaluating. I want criticism, not compliments — "great chapter" is a failed deliverable.

How it works

I send you one chapter as a PDF. It's about 5,000 words — a 30–40 minute read. You review it and send back two things.

Deliverable 1 — the review form (1 page). I give you the template. You fill in eight short answers:

The chapter's argument, in 3 sentences of your own
The weakest claim, and the page it's on
A passage you had to read twice, and the page it's on
The best chart in the chapter, and why
The weakest chart, and why
One thing you would cut
One question the chapter should have answered but didn't
One claim that contradicts something you were taught in business school — name the course and the concept

Deliverable 2 — a short video (3 minutes). Loom or phone camera. Talk me through your answer to question 2, the weakest claim — your voice, unscripted, no reading from notes.

The milestone releases when I receive both.

Payment

$20 per chapter, plus a speed bonus counted from the day I assign it:

Delivered within 3 days: +$10 → $30 total
Within 4 days: +$7 → $27
Within 5 days: +$4 → $24
Within 6 days: +$2 → $22
After 6 days: $20

Chapters are assigned two at a time. Reviewers who deliver quality on pace get more chapters, and the strongest get a better-paid follow-on role building course materials from the book.

AI policy — read before bidding

Use any tool you like for grammar and polish. But I'm paying for YOUR reading: where you got lost, what you don't believe, what you'd cut. If your written review reads like a model's summary instead of a human's reaction — or the person in the video can't reproduce the argument in the form — the milestone doesn't release and the engagement ends. The video exists to verify this. I work in AI professionally; I will know.

Requirements — all four, or don't bid

MBA, MBA student, or a completed business degree (finance, economics, management)
Native-level written English — your review should read like equity research
Genuine interest in cybersecurity, technology markets, or investing
Available to start this week

How to apply

Begin your bid with the word GRAVEYARD. Bids without it are deleted unread.

Then, in 100–150 words, argue AGAINST this claim from the book: "Security categories founded in 2003 stayed independent for twenty years before platforms absorbed them; the AI-security class of 2022 is being absorbed in three to four years." I'm not looking for agreement — I'm looking for how you attack an argument.

Close with one sentence: your degree, and why this industry interests you.

Terms

First chapter is a paid trial at full rate — continuing is my call after I see it. NDA required. Chapter PDFs are confidential and not for distribution. Your reviews become my property for use in future editions. This role involves no public or Amazon reviews of the book.
