Concrete Raft Foundation Plan Needed
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I’m ready to start an orangery-style conservatory and need a qualified structural engineer to produce a full foundation plan for a reinforced concrete raft measuring 5.8 m × 3.7 m. The drawing must let my builder pour the slab and satisfy Building Control in one go.
Key site facts
• A foul sewer runs almost dead-centre beneath the footprint. I already have formal build-over approval from the water authority, so the design must bridge or otherwise protect the pipe without transferring load to it.
• No soil investigation is available and I don’t intend to commission one. Please work from conservative assumptions typical for a domestic site and state those assumptions clearly in your notes.
• The structure will carry only standard domestic loads—no unusual roof or floor loads are expected.
