I already have the full set of structural drawings, schedules, and a draft estimate; what I still need is a precise, professionally formatted take-off that tells me exactly how much concrete, steel, and brick the project will consume.
Here is how I picture the collaboration working:
• I share the PDF drawings (plans, sections, schedules) and my current Excel sheet.
• You extract and verify every relevant dimension, apply the local building code allowances, and generate a clean Bill of Quantities focused on concrete, reinforcement steel, and bricks.
• The file you return must show calculations, unit conversions, waste factors, and any assumptions so I can audit the figures line by line.
I am fine with you using Bluebeam, PlanSwift, CostX, or even straight AutoCAD/Excel—whatever lets you work accurately and transparently. Just keep everything referenced back to the drawing numbers and grid lines. If you spot discrepancies in the structural set, flag them so I can clarify with the engineer before procurement.
Deliverable:
• One unlocked Excel workbook (or Google Sheet) containing the detailed material quantities, clearly separated by element and floor level, ready for my cost team to price.
Once I verify that your totals align with the drawings and comply with our local code thickness and cover requirements, I will mark the task complete and release payment.
