Composite Building Structural Analysis
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m finalising the design of a foam-block house that will be coated with a composite polymer-fiber-reinforced Portland cement shell. Before we move into detailing, I need a structural engineer to model this building and confirm that the system can safely resist gravity, seismic and wind actions.
Scope
• Build a structural model of the entire building using a recognised tool such as ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD or ANSYS.
• Verify overall load-bearing capacity of walls, floors and roof with the hybrid foam-block/composite skin configuration.
• Run seismic and wind load cases in accordance with the applicable building code (IBC / ASCE 7 or local equivalent) and flag any critical drift, shear or overturning issues.
-Add Braced wall zones, roof-to-wall connections, and critical reinforcement areas per code.
• Summarise results in a clear, referenced calculation report—including input assumptions, material properties, load combinations and safety factors.
• Provide the native model file plus a concise PDF with recommendations for any member size or detailing adjustments.
I have detailed (dwg and pdf) drawings and material datasheets ready to share once we start. Please confirm your preferred software, your timeline to deliver the model and report, and any clarifications you need about the geometry or design codes.
