Structural Calculation for Building Work
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I need a qualified structural engineer to perform calculations for of a planned lean to extension. The ideal candidate should have:
- Expertise in residential structural calculations
- Experience with roof, floor slab & foundation design and load analysis
- Relevant certifications and qualifications in structural engineering

Property is at 40 Summer Meadow, Cranbrook, EX5 7DF. A draft design has been created and attached.
In short the extension is approximately 6.1 x 2.7m located on the side of the existing house. It is single storey with a lean to pitched roof. Construction will be a full fill insulated cavity wall with a reinforced concrete floor.
Foundations have been exposed of the existing house, approximately 1.8m down. Building control have stated they are satisfied with we match them. Soil is predominantly clay.
We have worked out that the roof pitch now needs to be at 20 degree rather than the 23 stated in the draft drawings.
