Structural Analysis for Retail Store
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
The architectural drawings for a new retail store are complete, and the project is ready to move into structural verification. I now need a detailed structural analysis that confirms the framing scheme, load paths, lateral resistance, and overall code compliance before we submit for permit.
You will be working from my finalized architectural set (PDF and DWG) and the relevant local building code references I will supply. I expect you to model the structure in software you are comfortable with—ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD, or a comparable professional package—then deliver clear calculations and recommendations where member sizing or connections warrant adjustment.
Key deliverables
• A concise calculation package (PDF) showing gravity, wind, and seismic checks, plus any vibration or deflection limits that apply to a retail occupancy.
• Mark-ups on the architectural drawings identifying framing sizes, connection details, and any critical coordination notes.
• A summary memo highlighting compliance with the current local code and any items that need architect or MEP coordination.
If questions come up while you are modeling, I am available for quick clarifications. A timely, well-documented analysis is the priority, and once the permit set is approved there may be opportunity to extend the collaboration into site inspections during construction.
