Florida Residential Structural Design
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I’m preparing to add on to my single-family home in Florida and need a state-certified structural engineer to complete the engineering portion of my drawings. The drawings must satisfy the latest Florida Building Code, including hurricane-wind and flood-zone requirements, so they can be submitted for municipal permit review without revisions.
The architectural layout is finalized in CAD (DWG) and ready for structural integration. Your work will involve analysing loads, specifying materials, sizing beams, columns, lintels, foundations, roof trusses, and producing signed-and-sealed drawings in PDF and DWG formats.
Deliverables
• Calculations report covering gravity, wind, and uplift loads
• Signed & sealed structural plans (foundation, framing, roof, connection details) ready for permit submission
• One round of post-submission revisions if requested by the county reviewer
Acceptance criteria
Plans pass the city’s first technical review or receive approval after the included revision round. All documents carry your Florida PE seal and digital signature.
Please confirm your Florida PE license number and estimated turnaround time when you respond.
