Florida Beach House Renovation
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
I'm seeking an experienced draftsperson to construct a complete set of drawings for a renovation project on my 1500 square foot Florida beach house located in Lee County Florida. The house's footprint will remain unchanged, but we will be making the following modifications:
- The existing under roof exterior deck will be incorporated into the interior living spaces.
- A new deck will be added to the exterior once the existing deck becomes part of the interior.
- The downstairs garages and storage area will be fully enclosed, with footings and slabs poured where the existing gravel carport is.
- The entry will be slightly modified: the existing stairs to level one will be repositioned, and a roof designed to match the existing roof will be added over the entry stairs.
Design preferences:
- The interior design is to be coastal.
- New deck material should be pressure-treated wood.
- New interior living spaces May have hardwood flooring. Or possibly engineered flooring products
Ideal skills and experience:
- Proven experience in home design and drawing particularly in coastal properties.
- understanding of coastal design elements and aesthetics.

Ability to provide a complete set of drawings incorporating local building codes.
I am a 37 year General engineering and general building contractor who will be executing the work as the homeowner of the property.
My needs are to have someone provide me with drawings of the property that I can submit to the county for permitting the individual providing the drawings needs to be able to work with me with minor changes as we progress through the permit process.
