Villa Septic & Soak Pit Design
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I’m building a 5-bedroom villa and now need a complete septic tank and soak-pit solution dedicated to residential waste management. The design must strictly follow the latest National Building Code (NBC) provisions as well as the Central Public Health & Environmental Engineering Organisation (CPHEEO) manual.
Site context
• Flat terrain with normal soil bearing capacity.
• Ample space beside the rear setback for underground structures.
My preferences
• Structure in reinforced concrete for durability and ease of local construction.
• Simple gravity flow—no pumps unless calculations prove them unavoidable.
What I expect from you
1. Sizing calculations that show daily wastewater load, retention time, chamber dimensions, and percolation capacity, all cross-checked against NBC and CPHEEO tables.
2. General-arrangement drawings (PDF + editable DWG) showing plan, section, inlet/outlet levels, manholes, ventilation, and clearances from building lines and water sources.
3. A concise design note summarising assumptions, codes referenced, and construction guidelines (concrete grade, reinforcement, waterproofing, ventilation pipe spec).
4. Bill of quantities for civil work so my contractor can price it.
Acceptance criteria
• All dimensions and loads must trace back to code clauses.
• Soak-pit percolation area must achieve the calculated effluent rate without flooding for a minimum 10-year storm.
• Drawings should be ready for local authority submission with title block, scale and north arrow.
